It was 95 years ago on August 26, 1920 that women in the United States were finally granted our equal rights as citizens to vote! These were rights we lost in 1776 during the formation of this country. Many women and men worked tirelessly to regain equal rights for women. We ask you to join us in acknowledgement and celebration Thursday, August 27th, 5 pm at the Kate Sessions Statue near the Cabrillo Bridge. Vintage clothing encouraged. Bring your signs, your banners, and your flags. Stay after the parade to enjoy a free concert in the Organ Pavilion and a picnic on the grass.
Sincerely,
Board, Staff, and Volunteers of the Women’s Museum of California
